Case Study – Global Quantum

How a group of companies with clients worldwide gets in to the spirit of Christmas giving with responsible corporate e-cards and donations.

Global Quantum is a leading group of companies specialising in Quantity Surveying with predominantly blue chip clients throughout the world.

The team in the Scottish headquarters approached DontSendMeACard with regards to their corporate e-card services.

The company wanted to do something a little different this year that would help two charities that they support, but still wanted to send some Christmas cheer to their large list of clients.

Going Paperless

By hiring DontSendMeACard to build and facilitate the sending of a customised e-card, Global Quantum maintained the sentiment of a printed Christmas card, but made the responsible choice of donating the cost of sending cards.

The e-card design matches the Global Quantum visual style, using the main globe creative image that runs across all promotional materials, with a festive touch of Santa flying over it as the e-card design.

DontSendMeACard worked closely with Global Quantum to keep to their branding guidelines and ensure that the mailshot was tested for multiple devices, and sent from their own mail server to avoid being flagged as spam.

As part of the service, a set of images was also provided for use on social media, especially LinkedIn.

The Result

As Global Quantum is a group of companies, the client database is in the thousands.

As a result Global Quantum donated what it would have cost to send approximately 2500 Christmas cards to customers and contacts. The donation amount was split between two charities – MS Society and Ayrshire Hospice.

In addition, they made an environmental saving of approximately 1/3 tonne of CO2e (carbon equivalent) according to our carbon study which measures the impact of each card sent at 140g CO2e.

"Our Christmas ecard has been created exactly to our requirements with important information on the charities we have chosen to support this year. The service provided has been extremely efficient and professional and we look forward to working with you again in the future."
